The BaZi Engine
The engine is pure mathematics. You enter your birth date, time, and birthplace. The system applies True Solar Time correction, detects historical Daylight Saving Time, aligns with Solar Terms — then derives your Four Pillars, Element distribution, Ten Gods, and Luck Cycles. All of this runs deterministically, in memory, in under 200 milliseconds. No AI. No guessing.
On top of this sits a scoring system we built from scratch: a rules engine that calculates your Day Master’s strength, identifies your Favorable and Unfavorable Elements, and generates structured output. These rules are not AI-generated. They are traditional BaZi theory translated into deterministic, testable code.
Validation. We tested the engine against over 500 documented birth charts — including historical figures like Cao Cao, Su Shi, and Empress Wu Zetian. Day Master classification matched established scholarly consensus in over 90% of cases, with overall consistency above 80%. This is not a marketing claim. It’s an engineering benchmark.
The Language Library
The engine speaks in characters and Elements. Human beings speak in feelings and stories. Between them sits our language library: a collection of personality profiles, emotional frameworks, and human-readable archetypes. Every Element configuration maps to a specific temperament. Every pattern maps to a relationship dynamic.
This library doesn’t invent interpretations — it translates. When your chart says “Jia Wood Day Master, weak constitution, Water as Favorable Element,” the library renders it as:
“You are like a tree that grows best near water — strong in character, but you thrive when you allow yourself to be nourished rather than constantly giving.”

The Wisdom Libraries
A chart can tell you what. Classical wisdom tells you what to do with it. We maintain knowledge repositories drawn from traditions like the Tao Te Ching, the teachings of Wang Yangming, Liao-Fan’s Four Lessons, and the Yogācāra school of Buddhist philosophy. When the AI generates your report, it retrieves the passages most relevant to your chart and your current life season — not as scripture, but as insight rewritten in plain language. The wisdom of Laozi or the Sixth Patriarch arrives not as a lecture, but as something that feels like it was written for you, right now.
The Report
The engine computed your chart. The library translated it into human terms. The wisdom libraries provided depth. What comes out is a report that does three things: it describes your energy configuration in plain language, it shows you the behaviors and choices that can redirect your path, and it helps you recognize the deep patterns driving your recurring struggles — and how to loosen them.
